Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Annual Conference
McCormick Place West
Chicago, Illinois
June10th – 13th, 2012
Calhoun County, Arkansas
At the request of Calhoun County Clerk, Alma Davis, former County Treasurer, Kristi Webb, and supported by newly appointed County Treasurer, Shana Carter; the Calhoun County Quorum Court approved an agreement authorizing Financial Intelligence (FI) of Little Rock to install new county government financial software. The Court's action displaced a long time financial software services provider. Mrs. Davis told the court that selecting FI to provide new financial software would bring better customer service and fresher software to the courthouse and would allow Calhoun County to purchase its own computer hardware. The old software provider required Calhoun County to purchase all computer hardware through them for a much higher cost.
Shackelford County, Texas
At the request of Shackelford County Treasurer, Tammy Brown, the Shackelford County Commissioners' Court unanimously approved an agreement authorizing Financial Intelligence (FI) of Conroe, Texas and Little Rock, Arkansas to install new county government financial software. The Court's action displaces a long time financial software services provider that could no longer keep up with the growth of Shackelford County according to Mrs. Brown.
Hardin County, Texas
At the request of Hardin County Auditor, Lawrence Parthum and Hardin County Treasurer, Sharon Overstreet, the Hardin County Commissioners' Court approved agreements authorizing Financial Intelligence (FI) of Conroe, Texas to install new county government financial software. The installation of the new state-of-the-art software will begin in early 2012.
